Thank you for your interest in joining the East of Scotland Tartan Army (EASTA).

Before completing the online membership form, please take time to read the Club Constitution and Rules.

You *MUST join the Scotland Supporters Club within 1 month of joining EASTA.

If applying for FULL Membership, complete the standing order form to instruct your bank to debit £5 on the 1st day of each month from your account. This money will contribute to club funds, which will enable us to run free buses to home matches and provide occasional subsidised social events.
If applying for ASSOCIATE Membership, do not complete the standing order form but be aware that you will not be entitled to attend subsidised club functions or travel on club buses.

Every new member is required to pay a £10 initial **joining fee, for which you will receive a club T-shirt. EASTA is a family club and to promote more women and children, the £10 joining fee is waived for women and kids.
Associate and Junior members must pay a £5 renewal every year (due end March).

A separate standing order instruction form is available if you would like extra money saved on your behalf for future Scotland Trips.

Once your completed membership form has been processed successfully you will be contacted by EASTA and will receive the standing order instruction form.
Please send completed forms, including a joining fee Cheque/PO for £10 made out to; East of Scotland Tartan Army, to the above address.

Club Constitution

Sunday 29th January 2006

  1. Name
    The Supporters Club shall be known as “East of Scotland Tartan Army ” hereinafter known as EASTA.

  2. Object
    The object of EASTA shall be to support the Scotland national football team wherever in the world they are playing and return with as near the same number that travelled as possible.

  3. Membership
    Membership shall be open to any individual, subject to approval. The approval will include previous history of conduct at football matches and an acceptance of Scotland Supporters Club (SSC) membership. EASTA is against ageism, sexism and racism.

  4. AGM
    The Annual General Meeting shall be held on the last Sunday in January.

  5. Meetings
    At least 6 meetings will be held per annum and can be called on an ad-hoc basis when deemed appropriate by the committee. The quorum shall be 9 members.

  6. Sub-Committee
    The Committee can appoint, from the membership, a sub-committee to deal with specific matters as they arise.

  7. Membership Fees
    The members shall decide the fees for membership at the AGM. EASTA is a non-profit making organisation, and club funds will pay for transport for members to all Home games and other periodic social events.

  8. Finance
    The financial year shall end the day of the AGM

  9. Expenditure
    Two members of the committee must sign cheques.

  10. Auditor
    An auditor shall be appointed to audit EASTA accounts on an annual basis.

  11. Behaviour of Members
    Any member deemed guilty of improper conduct shall be subject to disciplinary action and SSC will be notified if deemed necessary. Anyone subsequently expelled / resign shall have no claim to any subscriptions paid.

  12. Disputes
    Any queries of disputes should be put in writing to one the Secretaries. A meeting shall then be arranged to discuss the matter raised.

  13. Amendments
    The Committee shall be empowered to make alterations and/or additions to the Constitution and Rules, which shall be deemed to be binding until amended at the next open meeting of EASTA.




Club Rules

Sunday 29th January 2006

  1. Membership Fees:
    FULL ADULT: £10 joining fee and £5 per month, to be paid by standing order on the 1st of each month.
    ASSOCIATE ADULT: £5 annual membership, due at the AGM in January.
    JUNIOR (U16’s): £5 annual membership, due at the AGM in January.

  2. In order to keep members together at both home and away matches, the Travel Convenors shall be responsible for co-ordinating ticket requests and forwarding to the SSC. All ticket requests must be received one week before the SSC prescribed latest date.

  3. All members travelling to home games must inform the Home Travel Convenor at least 3 weeks prior to the fixture if they wish to travel on EASTA buses.
    NOTE: FAMILY BUS IS NON-SMOKING

  4. Buses shall leave Dundee from TBC at times to be advised to members

  5. No alcohol to be taken on buses (Criminal Justice (Scotland) Act 1980).

  6. Members are expected to keep swearing and profanities to a minimum while ladies and children are present.
    Parents should note that with the likes of “There’s only one…..with a cheeky smile..” and “We hate Jimmy Hill…” songs in the Tartan Army songbook, explanations or excuses should be thought of for when the “What does that mean?” question pops up.

  7. The committee will appoint Away Travel Convenors for each away game. This member will collect information from members travelling and disseminate information regarding easiest and cheapest routes to those members travelling.

  8. All members must sign up for membership to SSC at the earliest opportunity. Membership of EASTA will be terminated if the membership to SSC is terminated.

  9. Any member wishing to set aside savings to pay for away travel can contact a member of the committee to set up a Standing Order for any amount, if this helps members save for away travel. All monies paid into the Tartan Army Savings Club account will remain the property of the individual member and can be withdrawn at members request, within a reasonable time, until such time that Deposits or Final Balances for travel are due. Once paid, Deposits are by nature non-refundable.
