European Final for Scotland Under-19 Football Team
The Scotland Under-19 football team defeated their counterparts from the
Czech Republic 1-0 in the semi-final of the European Under-19 Championships
to book a place in the final against Spain. Scotland deserved their victory
against the more-fancied Czechs. Spain defeated the Scots 4-0 in the Group
stage of the tournament and have players from Liverpool, Man United and the
Real Madrid first team. The young Scots were only narrowly defeated by 2-1. Spain scored first, early
in the second half and scored another twnty minutes later as the heat got
to the tired Scots. But they got a consolation goal three minutes from the
end.

EASTA 3 Douglas 2
EASTA were 2-0 down before Tam rounded off a great move with a delicate lob, after a cross from Haigy and a lay off (bad control! lol) from Jimmy Bell.
The lob (ok there was a slight deflection but I am still claiming it) looped over the keeper to make it 2-1.
Great play from Bell saw him win a corner, and McMaster headed on and Bell was there to scoop the ball into the net.
the winning goal minutes from time was a great individual effort from Bell who rounded the keeper after a great through ball from Scotty P.
A well deserved victory!

Scotland's First Euro 2008 Match for Celtic Park
When Scotland play Faroe Islands in their first Euro 2008 qualifying match
on 2 September, the National Football Stadium will be hosting a Robbie
Williams pop concert, which had been arranged before the football matches
had been organised. So the Scottish Football Association has decided that
the game will be held instead at Celtic Park in Glasgow. Aberdeen are
disappointed, as they were a major contender to host the match. But the SFA
say that a large crowd is expected for the opening game, but hope to take
Scotland's next home friendly match to the Granite City. Scotland have been
drawn in a very difficult qualifying group for Euro 2008 and are up against
France, Italy, Ukraine and Lithuania.
